Royal Caribbean is thinking big for summer 2028. The line has unveiled its Caribbean and Mexico lineup for April through October 2028, with 11 ships sailing from Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico, and the Northeast — including four Icon-class ships: Hero, Star, Icon, and Legend of the Seas.
That gives families and first-time cruisers a lot of homeport choice. Hero of the Seas will sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami, Star of the Seas will sail seven-night Eastern and Western itineraries from Port Canaveral, Legend of the Seas will offer six- and eight-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale, and Icon of the Seas will sail six- and eight-night Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston. All four will feature stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas on many sailings, along with ports such as San Juan, Samana, Cabo Rojo, Aruba, Cozumel, and Roatan.
The rest of the fleet adds even more variety. Symphony of the Seas from Miami and Harmony of the Seas from Port Canaveral bring large-ship options, Brilliance of the Seas will sail six- and seven-night Western Caribbean cruises from Tampa, Enchantment of the Seas will sail seven-night Southern Caribbean itineraries from San Juan, and Vision, Independence, and Oasis of the Seas will cover Baltimore and Cape Liberty with sailings to Bermuda, the Eastern Caribbean, and beyond. Summer 2028 itineraries opened first for Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members ahead of the general opening.
